Southside Sport and Community Club
In the heart of Upper Mt Gravatt is the Southside Sport and Community Club, one of the most successful clubs in Queensland.
Southside Sport and Community Club is a community based organisation which first opened its doors in September 1997 and shares its premises with Queenslands Premier Bingo venue - Southside Bingo. It all started with Southside Bingo 11 years ago and since then the club has grown to include 23,000 members and employ 130 staff at its three venues - Southside Sport & Community Club, the Mt.Gravatt Bowls Club and Southern Cross Sports Club - all located in Upper Mt.Gravatt.
The physical character of the main club is changing all the time and on top of the $6.5 million already invested in development of the premises over the past decade, another $2 million refurbishment was scheduled for 2009 and was completed in 2010 to provide our members and visitors with modern facilities that will enhance their experience when visiting the club.
The club boasts 185 of the best and most up to date gaming machines, including the very popular statewide links, in one of the best gaming rooms in the State, along with the Roast Casual Dining Restaurant, the Eat Cafe - Coffee Shop and the Lounge Bar. Members and guests can enjoy free entertainment Thursday to Sunday, play Keno and enjoy affordable quality meals while relaxing or socialising with friends.
Members and guests can take the worry out of driving or car parking by booking the Courtesy Taxi which operates from Wednesday to Sunday
